AFP results
The dr told my SIL her AFP level was 20.
What does this mean? I need to talk to her more tomorrow. My doctor just said normal, no number. She said normal is between 0-6 but the info I found online says different.
Has anyone been given their number? I have no clue what this number means.
They are still trying to decide what to do.
ETS: I think I figured it out. I think non pregnant 0-6 is normal but 15-22weeks 19-75 is normal which would put 20 on the low side which indicates DS whereas high levels indiciate neural tube defects such as spina bifida.
