Any advice for ER?
Well tomorrow morning is the big day. I am VERY excited, but nervous at the same time. Can anyone offer an advice for what to expect before, during, after the procedure? Guess I just need someone who's been through this to ease my mind

Re: Any advice for ER?
This was my experience:
While DH was producing his sample, they called me back into the recovery room area where the nurse had me fill out some forms, put an id bracelet on me and left me to change into my lovely hosptial gown, booties and hair covering. She then took my temp, BP and pulse, and by then DH was with me. She also went over all my instructions for after ER once I was home. Once DH was there, they started my IV and then left me to relax in my little recovery room area for a while.
When it was my turn, the doctor doing the ER came over to see me and explain what was going to happen. Then the anasteiologist came in, introduced himself and walked me to the O.R. It was a little surreal and scary for me as I had never had any type of procedure done in my life. They had me lie down on the table, the anasteiologist told me the picture someplace I REALLY wanted to be, and next thing I knew, I was waking up back in recovery. My DH said I was in the O.R. for maybe 15 minutes at the most. Once I was awake enough, they gave me some juice and something to eat and took the IV out. Then the nurse came back and told me how many eggs they retreived. As soon as I was feeling up to it, I was allowed to leave. I was groggy and a little dizzy for a bit, so I ended up staying in the recovery room for about 45 minutes after my ER.
The anticipation is really the worst part of it.
Good luck!!!
