Some people...
we were out on the front lawn walking ollie and this little cute french bulldog comes up to play, there was a man walking behind her so we just thought she wasn't on a leash but the dog came to play with ollie and the man kept walking. I put her on ollie's spare leash and knocked on a neighbor's door who knows a lot of the other neighbors and she said she just found this dog last week and told us where she lives, apparently the dog gets out all the time! So we knocked on the owners door and no one was home. They have a gated in backyard so we put her in there and she escaped through a hole in the fence within seconds! FH propped the gate with some bricks and it looked like she couldn't escape this time. I'm thinking of leaving a note on their door. I felt so bad for this dog, she was so good!

Re: Some people...
I hope they are grateful to all your neighbors. i would let them know that you found him wandering and that they have a hole in the fence. This way they can fix it properly so he won't escape again.
