More issues with gonal f help!

I feel so dumb I am have such trouble with this injection. I used the q cap this morning and it was fine. I got it all mixed and put the small needle on. It has this flimsy plastic cap at the top that the needle fits into. Even when the needle is secure the cap still turns. I thought it was secure, I go to inject it and as soon as I start injecting it starts dripping. I take it out and adjust and re-inject but don't know how much I lost. I was so frazzled I didn't look b/f I re-injected. Do you think its ok? I guess I will find out tomorrow when I go for my bw and sono. I am on the verge of requesting the pen. This injection is totally stressing me out!!!

You will be fine...think about how small an amount of powder there is compared to the amount of dilutent.
I'm sure you will be fine.
Just make sure to check that the needle is locked in from now on.

I had issues with my meds last cycle. I had to mix repronex with follistim and for some reason, sometimes when I went to draw the dose after mixing everything, it would drip out. I considered tossing it and starting over but that was a lot of meds to toss so, I just did it. This happened 2x! The nurse said not to worry. The sono would show if there was an issue and they could just up my dose the next day.

With the Gonal F we never used the Q-cap...our nurse told us not to.

We basically just put the large syringe on and injected the liquid from the Repronex (I was mixing 1 vial Repro with 3 vials Gonal F) into the Gonal F vial and withdrew. Did the same for all 3 vials then added the Repronex. Then switched needles to the short one and injected.

Would you feel comfortable trying to mix without the Qcap? It might be easier. Also, the first 2 nights we lost fluid until we got the hang of it and everything turned out fine. Try not to stress too much over that. They told us it was fine.
