Back to the DR we go...
He still has this cough and cold thing going on... Its def improved...but since we saw the covering DR on Mond... I wanna go back and see my DR...
I wish we could just nip this in the bud

I think it just has to run its course. Hayley was coughing so bad the week or so before christmas. It finally went away around Christmas. She is all snuffly again....

Good thing to bring him back. I did that with Andrew when his cold wasn't improving from last week and turns out it's bronchitis

Hope he feels better soon!! Jake also still hasn't shaken his cold completely. He's still got a cough since Christmas week so it's back to the Ped on Monday for him too.

Did they give him anything for the bronchitis or was there anything you needed to do to help him get better?

Yes, he's been on Zithromax for the last 5 days. Last week every time I called the DR they kept telling it's just a cold and to do the saline drops, cool mist humidifier, pillow under the crib mattress and vicks baby rub. But over the weekend his cough just didn't sound right so I brought him in on Monday.
Good thing too. The office was FULL of poor kids with bronchitis also. They said that a lot of kids are getting infections of the mucus and that I caught Andrew's very early, which was good.

Thank you Leslie. That's what I'm afraid that Jake might have. They've been telling me to do the same thing but it's just not getting better quick enough. Is that an antibiotic that they put him on?

I hope Jake doesn't have it. Yes it is an antibiotic. He took 1 tsp. the first day and 1/2 tsp. for four more days. The doctor said his cough might last an additional week still. He has definitely improved since taking the medicine.

Oooo now you got me all freaked out...
His cough sounds like when someone fake coughs....if that makes sense to you.....
But the nose is so stuffy...(no green boogies though) they keep telling me to do the same...
Will they give a 3 month old med?

How long has he had if for? My ped. told me that colds in infants commonly run a week or two.

Don't get freaked out. When Andrew's cough was like you describe (like a fake cough), it was just part of his cold and he got over it fine. His first cold lasted almost 2 weeks.
It was only when his cough sounded like he was bringing (or trying to bring) something up that it made me nervous.

We're back...and everything is clear...he just said to keep doing what Im doing!!
Ryan makes me look like such a liar as he laughs and "talks" to the DR
My DR said the same this cold could last a week or 2
