This s*ucks!!!!!!

Stupid GD!!! So I totally failed my one hour, my # was 238 which just shocked me as I've never had a glucose problem before. They had me skip the 3 hour and go right to an endocrinologist yesterday. I now have to test my glucose 4X/day and follow a special diet plan. It will take getting some use to but I will adjust hopefully. I'm just stressed and upset about it..........this is not how I want to spend my next 12 weeks of pregnancy. I think I am in denial right now and I will come around and come to terms but I just wasn't expecting it and it's frustrating. Just annoying!!

If it makes you feel any better, my two friends who had GD loved the diet and felt great and did not gain much at the end of their pregnancy!

Thanks for the replies!! I know I will survive and it's only for 12 weeks but I guess I just haven't accepted it yet. It's just annoying.

Honestly it really isn't that bad. I had GD was able to control it by diet. The worst part was testing my blood 4x a day but you get used to it. I didn't gain much weight at all because I couldn't eat cookies and ice cream all the time. Once DD was born it went away instantly. You'll be fine!
