Anyone using a midwife?
I was watching "A Baby Story" this morning (which takes on a WHOLE new, scary meaning now!) and saw a midwife coaching a woman on...it looked like a real relief to the woman giving birth, and I have toyed with this idea before...for those of you using one, are they expensive? Can it/some of it be covered by insurance?
Thanks!

Re: Anyone using a midwife?
I am.....
Most insurances cover midwifery practices because they are actually cheaper!!! Less intervention and lower risk births.
I am doin a home birth with a midwifery group that has physician and hospital back up if need be! There are a few of us on here that are using a midwife and we have a midwifery thready going....
I'll find it and BUMP it for you!
FM if you EVER have any questions!
