Dr. called, baby already too big!! Did this happen to anyone else???

My DD Ava was born at 41 weeks and weighed 9 lbs. I didn't have GD, just a big baby.

My Dr made me take the Glucose test at 7 weeks pg, just to be sure that I didn't have it this time, and I didn't.

I had a sono last week at 26 weeks, 6 days, and they called to tell me that Baby Brody should weigh 1 lb, 6oz- 1 lb 9 oz at this point. He weighs in at 2 lbs, 9 oz. About 3-4 weeks bigger than he should be! My dates are exact. I know exactly when I o'd and BD.

They are making me go back in 2 weeks for another growth sono.

He is also breech, but I am having a c-section, so that's ok...

Is anyone elses baby measuring big??

How many weeks were you at last sono?? and what did baby weigh??

just sending some . I was just warned last week that my baby might be big. LAst week he was 5.75-6lbs and he might put on another 2-3 in my last 5 weeks.

last week at 34/35 weeks was 6 lbs 11 oz... dr said that was in the 90th percentile! I have another sono scheduled next week so we'll how much bigger she has gotten since then...

I had a sono at 30 weeks & the tech told me the estimated weight was 3lbs 10ozs..

I had a sono on Wed and the tech said baby was just under 2lbs.
I'm 27 weeks

I had a growth sono at 25 weeks, he was just under 2 pounds and measuring 27 weeks

I wouldn't worry too much. They said Jack was going to be huge and that I was 2-3 weeks further along than expected.

He was 8 pounds, 1 ounce.......smaller than Ava who was longer and heavier than he was!!!

You never know!!!!!

I was measuring big pretty much all along...I had a growth sono at 37w, 2 days and she was estimated to be 8lb, 3oz....12 days later, when I had her at 39 weeks, she was 9lb, 8oz

I had a growth sono two days before I was induced at 39 weeks. They said she was going to be 9.5. was 8.7

I'm worried about this. My first was born 8 days late at 9 lbs 7 oz. I did not have Gestational diabetes or anything, just a big baby. I only gained 22 lbs, so it was a shock. They weren't predicting such a big baby, though. I wonder how big this one is going to be.

They told me my dd was over 8lbs close to 9lbs.. when she was born she was 7lbs 5ozs.

My doctor told me that my baby was measuring 3-4 weeks ahead at 28 weeks. I had a growth sono at 37 weeks and they predicted his weight at was 8lbs 10oz at that time. He was born at 39 weeks and only weighed 8lbs 5oz. The doctors try to predict but there are so many variables and the tests can be off by 1lb! So don't worry too much.

my doctor told me two weeks ago that my baby was 6lbs. its been almost 2 weeks so the baby has to weigh at least 8 lbs now.

The Dr's always said I was having a big baby and he was born 6lbs 15 oz.

DS was big from the beginning! He was always 1-2 weeks ahead on the sonos but they would never tell me the weight.

From about 30 weeks everytime my Dr felt my belly she would comment on DS's size.

Well come 39 weeks I still had not dilated at all and she wanted to see how big DS was so I went for a sono. It was on 12/12 (DS was due 12/20) I had it done at the hospital and he was measuring 9lb 1oz. Then I went again on 12/18 and DS was estimated at 9lb 4oz. And they said I still have plenty of fluids and he was still high and had plenty of room to move around!

So I had a c-section on my due date 12/20 and DS was 9lb 14oz and 22.5 inches long!

I just went alst week at almost 32 weeks and they said the baby weighs 5 lbs!!! 93 %ile . Don't forget though they are often off by a pound or two so I wouldn't worry too much yet.

I tried to find my old posts about Caden regarding his weight in utero...he was on the large side and measuring ahead too...around 30 weeks he was over 4lbs...I had him at 36+ weeks and he was 7lbs 11oz so he would have been a 9lb baby had I not been induced early..(I was induced b/c I was 5cm and not in labor and I go really quickly)

Basically b/c I had already kids and b/c they knew my history they really werent concerned..my eldest daughter was born at exactly 36 weeks and she weighed 8lbs...

I am 27 weeks 4 days, dr says is measring in at 3lbs 2 oz
