Thermal Reconditioning- Japanese straightening
Okay so i know that having the whole thermal reconditioning straightening is not good while pregnant. So i haven't had it done at all.
But my question is... is it okay to get it done afterwards if i might be breastfeeding?
Can you pump and dump for that or no?
I'm dying to get my hair done again!

Re: Thermal Reconditioning- Japanese straightening
My friend had it done right after she was pregnant and due to the hormones her hair looked horrible. I would wait a bit.

I was told by my hairdresser ( so it could be her tradition) not my doctor that anykind of chemical procedure you should wait at least 2 months after you give birth

Re: Thermal Reconditioning- Japanese straightening
My mom is a hairdresser, she know's how badly I want it done!! (I want to do the Brazilian Keratin treatment, not the Japanese) but of course since I'm pregnant she won't do it for me. She told me that "she" wouldn't do it for me while breastfeeding either. But Im not sure if that's the norm or if it's ok to get it done while BFing.

My hairdresser is pushing me to get it done, but honestly they use formaldehyde in it, an to inhale that while breastfeeding I don't see that being good AT ALL!!!! so totally agree with your mom!!!
