Do any of your kids
Share a room? I shared with my sister when we were younger, and my brothers shard a room. But i feel bad if we get a 2brm house or co-op, and my daughter will have to share a room when we have another baby. Anyone else have this dilema?

Re: Do any of your kids
We have 2 separate rooms for our kids. I don't think you need to worry about your kids sharing a room. I shared with twin and my older sister had her own room. I'm sure everyone at one point had that imaginary line down the middle of their room. I think it worked to my parents advantage since we would be sent to our rooms for fighting. We'd have to stay on separate beds - and inevidably wind up making up since we had no one to talk to but each other.

Re: Do any of your kids
My daughters share a room and they love it, they are 6 and almost 3. Sometimes I go into their room during the night and I find that one of them has climbed into the other's bed. It is priceless. Then some nights I hear them talking and laughing together and I think that I am helping them to make memories that will always stay with them about their childhood!

Re: Do any of your kids
I shared a room with my sister. I really had a hard time getting used to sleeping alone. I think it was great. I saw somewhere "love grows in small spaces"!

Re: Do any of your kids
I never had to share a room - I have only one other sibling and its a brother. But Im having my 3rd child and while my kids now have their own rooms, one of them will end up with a roomie. I think it'll be OK eventually but Im not sure how or when to start it.

Re: Do any of your kids
We live in a 2 BR.. and we arranged it so each kid has its own "half".. The closet is set up the same way, with the boys clothes on one side and the girls clothes on the other.. The baby is not here yet, but Alex is starting to realize that "something" is going to occupy the other space.. he refers to the "pink" clothes and the baby in my belly.. etc.. I know he will be a great big brother and a good big help.. and eventually he will have his own room again.. but for now I am sure it will work! HTH!

Re: Do any of your kids
I shared a room all growing up -- when I was young it was me, Randi who was 2 years older, and Denise who was 8 years older.
Then when Denise moved out my parents had another baby, so it was Me, Randi, and Irene who was 10 years younger then me.
I find that there were pros and cons -- especially in the teenage years when we argued a lot -- but seriously I have such good memories of sharing a room with my sisters -- staying up late talking to eachother from across the room, and when we were really little I'd go into Randi's bed and I'd scratch her back and then she'd scratch mine until we fell esleep. I'm glad we had that experience.

Re: Do any of your kids
I shared a room with my 2 sisters, until I moved my brother out of his room into the basement when I was 15. I really don't think there is anything wrong with it. I think it helps to build a bond between siblings.
