Having sleeping problems....
As my belly is getting bigger, it's getting harder for me to sleep at night. What's worse is that I have read about how you are supposed to sleep on your left side, not on your back bc that can be bad for the placenta. (in my case 2 placentas lol). So I have woken up on my back, and freaked out so now every move I make I wake up paraniod that I am not in the position I am supposed to be in and that something is going to happen. How can I stay on my left side all night long? It's just not possible :(

Re: Having sleeping problems....
I'm at 23 weeks, and I still sleep on my belly and back and sides. I switch it up all night long.
If you happen to get into a comfortable position, don't worry.

Re: Having sleeping problems....
I switch from left to right side, but then again, I've always been a 'side sleeper'. I sleep with 5 pillows... a couple to prop up my upper leg (it makes your hips and back more comfy), and 2 propping up my belly/torso (so my back doesn't twist)
since I've always slept with an excess of pillows, I'm already conditioned to flip sides and take all the pillows with me

Re: Having sleeping problems....
my doc said dont drive myself crazy over it. If I wake up and I am on my back , just roll back to my left side. So try not to worry about it, dont freak out.
eta - i ALWAYS slept on my stomach pre-pregnancy so it was a hard switch for me. I am finally used to my left side but do switch to my right during the night also.

Re: Having sleeping problems....
I read about this also and was worried everytime I found myself waking up on my back but after asking around what I've heard is it's fine. I was afraid I'd be hurting the baby!! I think the more you focus on sleeping on the left the harder it is to fall asleep so I sleep on both sides with my snoogle and also on my back.
