Northport People...
I wanted to post this the other day, being there was so much going in with my family and friends yesterday, I forgot!
There is a GREAT new restaurant that opened across from Stop & Shop called Sweet Mama's!
(The Old Smitty's)..Looks like a house!
They serve breakfast and lunch only, its clean, the food is sooo good and the service was great. Our food was hot and delicious! Prices very reasonable. They are open until 3. I highly recommend getting there early. We got there @ 11:30 and had like a 10 min. wait..When we left @ 1..There was an hour wait!!
So worth it!
Now Im off to Cheesecake Factory! LOL, vacation is "sinful"...!
Just thought I'd let you all in on "My Review".

thanks for sharing!
the owner of mill pond and piccolos bought it. i also heard it was great. the previous owner took over the pancake cottage (family run business) in greenlawn. i used to LOVE going there for breakfast but the food is not the same. i heard he brought his chefs w/ him and since i never liked the food at smitty's i guess hat explains why i don't like to food there now either.

That's great to know. We used to head there for breakfast on Sundays with the kids when it was Smittys. Should I assume it's not a kid friendly place now that the Piccolo/MillPond guy owns it?

It is kid friendly. We brought my 14 month old nephew there., THere were little ones all over. He enjoyed his grilled cheese and fries from the kids menu..lol

OMG me too - the pizza was soooo good. I have really fond memories of Sal's...my grandparents used to take me there when I was younger...I miss that!
