Dry skin?

So I know most people have problems with break outs but could very dry skin be a by product of pregnancy too? I've always had dry skin but in the past week or so I look like my face is peeling! I've been diligent about washing and putting on lotion. I think I drink enough water too but it seems to be getting worse.

Any suggestions??

Re: Dry skin?

I've been going through the same exact thing!! (Funny cause we are due about the same time) I hope this is just a little phase we are going though. A daily moisturizer helps but my skin is still dry.

I had the same problem, it was REALLY bad.... Dr gave me a good tip. She said to use a really good moisturizer and add a DROP of baby oil to it and put it on whiel your face is still damp from getting out of the shower. Did wonders for me, maybe it will work for you. Good luck. Chat Icon

Re: Dry skin?

I just read somewhere that prego's skin get drier because of all the extra fluids your body needs-- so, make sure you are drinking your water and moisturizing!

I also put vaseline on my face at night-- in more dry areas-- in addition to my heavy night time moistuerizer.

Re: Dry skin?

Well I'm glad I'm not alone. I look so gross. I went to Origins at lunch and spent $75 on a cleanser and moisturizer. Good thing DH is super vain so he won't be mad at me! Chat Icon
