can I vent about my shower? (long)
I would have liked it to be a surprise, but until not too long ago nothing was planned and my 3 older sisters kept asking me what WE were going to do. Granted, none of them had a shower when they had their kids, but we went though this for my wedding shower and I thought they would be a little more proactive. I never asked for a shower and i even said to forget about it, but anyway...I started researching places to have it. I gave them a couple of options and since we were so late I even had a tentative hold on a date. They just went with what i said. What bothers me is they couldn't even try. My husband ordered the invites and will buy the cake. My sister in law said she'll do the favors and centerpieces. All they've really done so far is mail out the invites (which werent even that many) and they still had the nerve to put 2 of their #'s for RSVP and set the RSVP a date when they were both going to be away for the whole week before!!! One on business and the other on business/vaca with her son. And to top it off neither of their husbands speak much English to handle the RSVPS!! I am so mad. Sorry so long, but I just had to get it off my chest.

 that stinks...Im sure you'll have a nice time any way..
I wasnt suppose to know about mine either..and then I was tortured about a tent reservation

i went through something similar with my baby shower.. in fact i wrote out my own invites and everything.. i too wanted it to be a surprise and it was anything but that. However, my shower turned out nice anyways regardless of all of those frustrating issues that kept coming up. Im sure yours will be just fine too even though it might not seem like that at the moment.
