Just came back from my "paperwork" appointment
The NP was really nice. She asked if I wanted her to try to find the heartbeat with the doppler. She said it may be a little early (I'm 11 weeks), but she could try. She found the heartbeat pretty quickly. What an amazing sound. It definitely gave me some peace of mind.

No. My doctor splits up the first trimester appointments into a few of them. My first appointment was at about 6 weeks, which was basically an annual exam and I was sent for bloodwork. I had a sono a week or two later and we saw the heartbeat. This appointment was the first time I heard the heartbeat. I got all teary when I heard it.
