Re: shopping
I haven't started shopping yet (probably not for another 1-2 months), but the below stores have a lot:
-target -Maternity Works in Tanger -Kohls -JCPennys -Motherhood (which is in all the malls)
Personally, I think because I'm plus sized to begin with, I will be ordering my business/professional wear for work from Lane Bryant Maternity & Ann Taylor Maternity (they carry 16s & 18s). It totally stinks that I will need maternity business suits. GRR

Re: shopping
I hear you!
I had a very hard time finding stuff and i live way out east in suffolk.
Most of my stuff is from Gap or Target. When my husband and i went on vacations earlier this year, i got a few things then. But around here just stinks!

Re: shopping
their is not much of a selection near me. The mall near me, the Port Charlotte mall has a JCP, Old Navy and Macy's but they have very limited maternity stuff. In fact the sales girl in JCP told me to go to the Sarasota Mall because they have motherhood maternity and the Port Charlotte one does not. I've gone to Target and was not happy with their selection at all.
The only place I was happy with was motherhood maternity.

Re: shopping
this is why i don't buy maternity clothes i have all maternity pants since motherhood maternity has the secret fit belly, but all of my shirts and dresses are from regular stores - i just buy a size or two up from normal. the styles this year are very accomodating for preggo bellies

I have a wedding this Saturday and was trying to do the buy a size or two up from normal and they were not very accomodating to me. I even tried plus sizes. It was a disaster. It was like a train wreck. I told the sales girl I was a hot mess I swear I heard the seams screaming at me "what are you doing pregnant lady, you can't wear me"
I went to Motherhood and got 2 great dresses. One was on sale and I just couldnt resist

Re: shopping
I find that Old Navy online has a much better selection than the stores have. I ordered all my clothes for the summer from there.

Re: shopping
i was lucky enough to borrow most of my maternity clothing but i have heard in addition to the stores listed above, sears & macys have maternity clothign and the best part about shopping there is the return policy is the same as the rest of the store. like the motherhood stores ( mimi, pea in a pod, motherhood and i think there is one more) have NO return policy. after u pay its yours. on line they allow you a few days i think 10. macys has a smaller selection but if you need to return something you can. walmart also has some maternity clothign i think.

Re: shopping
This is exactly my thoughts! The Old Navy and H&M near me doesn't even have a maternity section, I only have Motherhood, Mimi Maternity and Target closest to me.
It would be very nice to have more of a variety.

Re: shopping
I just ordered 2 pairs of pants and a shirt from JC Penneys for $50 last night. The shirt is a 3/4 sleeve which I really don't need right now considering its 94 today(in SC) but I fgiured I could use it toward the end.
