I'm such an ***!!!

I took Sidney to see Santa on Friday. Waited over an hour but it was sooo worth it cause the pics were adorable. Anyway....the next day I was going to my father's for Christmas Eve. As DH and I were packing the car with presents I placed the envelope with the photos on the roof of my car....now I'm sure you know where this is going....we drove away with the friggin pictures on the roof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't realize it till we were at my father's (1/2 hr away). I called a friend who lives in our apartment building and had her search outside for them...no luck
Can you believe it!!!! BUT...turns out my sis scanned the pics the night before for me. Quality's not so great but better than nothing right?
I'm so sad to think that there are pics of my litle girl floating around on the road somewhere all rained on and driven over

Can you call the Santa booth to see if they save the digital images? Maybe you can reorder?
That stinks but the scanned are better than nothing.

I imagine you could reorder them. I know that doesn't help you feel better about doing it right now but at least you can try to get another photo.

eta. if I told you all of the things DH has lost by putting them on the top of the car, I'd reach my limit on postings....cell phones, sneakers, diaper bags...luckily the kids always made it in the car.

I am sorry that you lost the pictures but I am sure you can get reprints if not then at leat you have the scanned pictures.
