From the article, it sounds like just a fancy webcam and TV screen that is directly tied between here and the UK. It's the same thing that you could do at home to anywhere in the world, they just spent a lot of money to make the device look "antique"....

I actually read the article because I thought it was an interesting piece of equipment, and was a modern version of a telectroscope (which isn't anything real, just a typo).... I was disappointed to find out that it wasn't real....

Yeah - I did the same thing and was as disappointed. Next CNN article? Tap your heels 4 time and teleport to Kansas.
