Breathing problems
For the past few days when I walk, it feels like I can't catch my breath. If I try and take a deep breath, it feels like my lungs aren't filling up and I start coughing. I don't know what is going on with me because I don't have asthma. I asked some of my friends at work if they experienced this while they were pregnant and they said that it might be the baby because its growing or it can be the extra weight. Tomorrow I'll be 6 weeks and I have an appt with my RE and I plan on bringing this up. Has anyone else experienced this early in their pregnancy?

Re: Breathing problems
I was getting winded before I even found out that I was pregnant. After doing normal chores for 10 mins I'd feel like I was going to pass out. It is your bodys way of telling you to relax. You need lots of rest in the 1st tri! Feel better

Re: Breathing problems
I had that in my pregnancy and it freaked me out. You actually have more oxygen going to your uterus and it is coming from you, leading to a shortness of breath. It's really common. I couldn't even finish sentences without getting winded.

Re: Breathing problems
mmm, while I'm out of breath after climbing stairs, I can still take a deep breath without coughing.
I think you should go to your GP... you might have bronchitis or bronchial pneumonia... The only time in my life where I couldn't inhale all of the way was when I had bronchial pneumonia...
feel better!
