how many did/will you have at your shower?

Just curious....I am a bit disappointed that many have replied no. I know it's because the shower is in June when there are tons of graduations, recitals, communions, etc.....anyway, I'd be shocked if more than 30 can attend and I feel like such a loser, LOL.

I know for a fact that mom is only going to invite about 20 people... so I expect somewhere between 12-15. DH and I have small families, and I tend to only maintain select very close friendships...

For my first shower, I had about 50. This time around, about 25.

My mom invited about 70, but I think I will have around 50 guests. I actually rather have it small. 50 is pretty small compared to my bridal shower- I had 90 guests. It was overwhelming.

We are inviting about 25-30. I wanted it small.

June is a VERY busy month for people, so don't feel like a loser.

We invited 60 people and only 33 came.

thanks everyone - I know it's the time of year, but I guess I'm sick of people calling me to say they're sorry they can't make it instead of calling my mom who is throwing the shower!!

My bridal shower only had about 18 people, I will probably have the same at my baby shower.

I had about 25-30 people at my shower and it was more than enough! I hate huge things and this was just perfect.

If I have 30 I would be thrilled as I think that is plenty, but not overkill.

That is a very busy time of year! My Mom had a hard time booking mine, which she wanted in early May, so I had it in mid-April. The places were so booked b/c all of the events! We had about 43 people.

oh dont feel that way- you are not a loser. my shower is this weekend, and i was bummed out at first- i knew that the invites went out late and probably alot of people arent going to make it there, plus that its a holiday weekend. i know i gave a list of like 40 something guests to my sis. i have heard that a few already cant make it. i asked her yesterday how many are coming, and she wont tell me, lol. i know it is probably going to be a lot less than that. i am seeing somethings come off the registry which i know is crazy to keep checking, but i cant help it, and plus it feels exciting to see that some people must be coming to the shower, hopefully! i am looking forward to mine, and am sure yours will be great too, even if it isnt as big as u thought it would be!

At my NY shower I had about 40, my Chicago shower I had 16.

I am in the process of making a guest list now for my sisters. I have 51 people on the list. The first 24 are family and the rest are friends. I think that I'll probably wind up with about 30 people.

We are still waiting for RSVPs but we will probably end up with about 50 guests (its guys & gals though)

We invited 50 and I think about 30 are coming. June is a tough month - weddings, showers, grad parties etc.

i think the guest list will probably be over 100, but it's a jack and jill shower... no idea how many will come, it's not till july and the invites have not been sent out yet. heck, the place hasn't even been booked yet as far as i know

I am not having a shower but my bridal shower was memorial day weekend last year and a lot of people couldn't show up. My mom made it that weekend so family that I love could come but a lot of my friends had other obligations. Unfortunately this is the time of year we have to pick and choose :(

I know, I was so upset I had to do June. I was going to pick July, which probably won't be much better, but at least the communions, recitals, graduations are less likely to be happening. When my mom booked it 3 months ago, the one place she wanted was booked all through June already except for my date and the last weekend. Plus, my SIL is due right before me and her shower is two weeks later. So I'm sure the family we have in common is on overload!! It's just sad, I think I invited 15 friends and so far only 4 have replied yes - I got a few no's and several no-replies yet! Not sure how many family are going.
