What year do you think NKOTB became poplular?

Someone on another board is insisting that because they came out in 1986 that we WOULD be interested in them as we were 15 then. I said that they really did not come about until 1988 when we were 17 and I was not interested in them then.

I would say 89-90. I was about 8 then!

Their first album was in 1986. I believe that was when they opened for Tiffany.

Their 1st #1 wasn't until 1989 from their 2nd album which came out in 1988, so you may have not heard of them until then.

I thank G-d I was in college when they reached their height of popularity. I was too into U2 and Guns N Roses to give a poop about them.

There first album came out in 1986. It did not do well. Hangin Tough was released in 1988.

I remember them from 8th grade, which would be 1988 or so. Right Stuff, and all that. That may have even been early 1989. I DO remember that they were all the rage when I was a freshman in high school, which was 1989-1990.

I saw them in concert in 1988 before they were popular. They were the opening band for Tiffany!! I was 9 years old.

I was graduating HS or there-abouts, and I had ZERO interest in them. Still no interest in them today. I really am an old fart showing my age.

I remember being really into them when I was in 2nd and 3rd grade... '89-'91

I was into them in 89-90. I was in 5th-6th grade.

My group of friends and I used to choreograph dances to NKOTB songs at our sleepover parties.

And each of us claimed one of them as our boyfriends... I had Joey.

I saw them with Tiffany at Westbury Music Fair..I drove there so Im going to say it was in 1990 and I was 17...It couldnt have been earlier than that b/c I didnt get my license until the spring of 89' and that was my junior license..so I only drove to and from work and school.
