Help, could i be going into labor?
I'm due tuesday...Today i'm feeling even more pressure and for the last hour i've had what feels like menstrual pains....
Did anyone elses labor start off this way?

Time the menstural pains...if they come on and off regularly, that is labor. You might also feel tightness in your stomach.

yes, i had cramping. I knew after about a half hour that i was going into labor. write down your contractions.

When I had my son, labor at first was like menstrual cramps. Try to time how long the actual cramp lasts, and then time how frequent they come. If they last 45-60 seconds and come every 5-7 mins your in labor

thanks, maybe its just the very beginning, because they are just steady lingering menstrual pains....so far i've had them for about 35 minutes or so...They don't really feel like any kind of contractions....
I've gotten them here and there throughtout the week, but never for this lenght of time...

I started to get this too and like you its steady lingering and then goes away. In my opinion its just your body preparing for labor.

Yes, i lost my mucus plug yesterday and just a little while ago I went to the bathroom and had some blood (sorry for TMI), but i called the doctor and she seemed so lax about it...She said i could be in early labor, but maybe not.....
Basically she told me to call back when i'm my contractions are 4 minutes apart and i'm in severe pain!!!!!!!
I like my doctor but that's not really wanted to hear....
So the wait continues...and i'm still having menstual like pains.......

that's great news!
you totally want to wait until they're 4 min apart... last thing you want is to go to the hospital too early... I could be wrong, but I believe they won't let you eat or drink as long as you're in active labor (just in case they need to aenesthetize you).......

You could be. But, I lost my mucus plug on Wednesday, had contractions for hours on Wednesday night but they never got consistently 5 minutes apart. I've had really, really bad menstrual cramps since then. The baby is so low I feel like she is going to fall out! I had a non-stress test done today and they confirmed that I did lose my mucus plug, am 2 cm dilated and she was shocked at how the baby is. Yet, she said it could still be days....
