Baby shower question
How many did you invite and how many are attending?
I invited 50 and 31 are attending. I'm not complaining but I was surprised at all the no's. I guess it is May which is a busy graduation/communion/wedding month.

My MIL always said about 1/3 of the people you invite to anything don't come. It was true for my baby shower. I invited about 44 to my first one and about 28 came.

my MIL is in charge of invites but it will probably be between 80-100 (it's a jack and jill so that just about doubles the # of invitees)
i think 31 is a good shower size - that's about what my friend had for her shower last year and she got soooooo many gifts, and it was a really good time!

i gave my list to my sis with i think like 44, and i think MIL added a few people, but i havent heard much about how many are definitely coming. the invites were slow getting out, and i was worried that no one would be there except my sisters, MIL, and a few close friends, my shower is next weekend, which isnt a great time, with it being a holiday weekend and i know some people may have already had other plans, it wasnt really my exact choice of weekend, but it isnt in my hands. this shower has been a bit stressful for me to know some of the problems between my sis and MIL and i wish i didnt have to know all that was going on. MIL had ideas that were different, and wanted to do things her way as usual, her being a control freak makes it hard to deal with her sometimes. but i know my sis wanted to give me a great shower in a place i would like and picked a good place, and stood her ground, whatever! even if MIL isnt thrilled that its not her choice of location, etc, i am sure it will turn out nice. i am seeing some things come off the registries as of this week, so that's exciting. headoverheels, i love the idea of a jack & jill shower, that should be fun!

I know 70 people were invited to mine
My sister sent me the list so I could verufy it, etc.
I do not know how many people are coming. I will know in about 2 weeks!!

A ton of college graduations and communion parties on our side of the family.

we invited 60 i think and only 33 are coming. Of course there were a bunch that were invited that don't live here, so i pretty much knew who was going to come and who wasn't.

NY Shower: Invited 60, Attended 40
Chicago: Invited 22, Attended 16
