Do you believe in Aromatherapy?
"Essential oils that are inhaled into the lungs offer both psychological and physical benefits. Not only does the aroma of the natural essential oil stimulate the brain to trigger a reaction, but when inhaled into the lungs, the natural constituents (naturally occurring chemicals) can supply therapeutic benefit. Diffusing eucalyptus essential oil to help ease congestion is a prominent example".
Snake oil or I really believe it works..

Re: Do you believe in Aromatherapy?
I believe smelling certain things produce reactions in us - sometimes emotional, sometimes physical - certainly hormonally. That's a proven fact.
Without question eucalyptus eases congestion.

Yes. There is a huge difference in my son if I bathe him with the lavender soap and the unscented soap.
He gets much more relaxed and tired with the lavender.

Re: Do you believe in Aromatherapy?
I do believe that smell brings up a lot of emotions and memories. The problem I see with "aromatherapy" is that it can't be universal. Lavender is supposed to be calming, but if you had a lavender air freshener in your car when you had a bad car accident, it's likely that lavender would stress you out very badly, since it would remind you of the accident.
I think memories and experiences will definitely overide any possible benefits from smells.
