i don't know about synthroid.
i have pcos and take metformin (for years now) and still don't ovulate on my own... you could try- it can't hurt.. how long have you been on metformin? it takes 2-3 months to work I think, if it works enough to regulate your cycles or starting you to ovulate on your own...
