HB with stethoscope
In my "what to expect" newsletter for this week it said you can hear the baby's HB with a stethoscope now (23w). I tried this morning with no luck. Has anyone done this? Did you hear it? Any tips????

I was just researching the same thing...I want to try this since I haven't felt the baby move in a while...and I had been feeling it since 12 weeks...I am starting to freak out..
I think you need a fetalscope.

i honestly wouldn't even try it because the nurse had trouble finding the baby's HB with a doppler yesterday, i don't know that a stethescope is strong enough yet.

Im 30 weeks and I will try it when I get home... DH is an EMT So I will swipe his stethoscope & I will let you know

Did you try it?
Ugh! I had a Dr. appointment last night and didnt get home until after 8 I was so wiped out I went straight to bed... But I promise I will do it as soon as I get home and I will post like around 6 ish

I was probably 23/24 weeks when i tried . My sister is an EMT and a physicians assistant and laughed at me when I told her what I was trying to do. She said "but you have no idea where the baby is even laying, you'll never hear it with that"
Needless to say - I did not find it
