help me decide what to write on a paver

I'm moderately active in the Suffolk Bar Association and I have gotten a lot from my membership. They are building an outdoor seating area at their headquarters. I have the opportunity to purchase a paver that will be engraved with up to 4 lines (no more than 14 characters or spaces per line). The less lines I use, the bigger the type. I told my DH that I would just put my firm name on it but now I am not sure.

I was thinking of buying 2--one so that I can just put my name, and another that says: Kerie P. _____
dedicated to
Scott _____ (DH)
Dylan _____ (DH)

The second one would be in a small type because it's 4 lines. I would really prefer to just buy one, though.

A lot of people are doing these in memory of someone. Should I skip it if I do not have anyone to memorialize? Is it odd just to put my name? Will I feel weird that it is often done for the deceased? Should I skip the one with DH and Ds names if no one from the bar association knows their names anyway? I do not know what to put but I love the idea of having a paving stone there!!!

I called the woman running it and she said whatever people put will be personal and wonderful. It was sweet but I still do not kknow what to put!!!!

I like the idea of having DS and DH's name on there. Who cares if anyone else knows their names? You do, and that's all that matters? Do you think the attorneys know all of the deceased names?

I would just make sure you word it so it doesn't sound like it's in their memory.... I'm drawing a blank at the moment, but "dedicated to" sounds like they are no longer here....

would you feel any differently about DS and DH names being there if I told you that DH has the same name as an ambulance chaser type of attorney? DH is not an attorney. The other guy is from Nassau, not Suffolk, though. I kept my maiden name but when people hear my DH's name they sometimes ask if it is the other guy.

OK.... that's an unexpected twist.... you could just use their first names, even though their last names are different. Even will (rightly) assume that it is your husband and son, and who cares if they assume the wrong last name?

Something like:
Scott and Dylan,
May we all grow old together,
Kerie P. _____

If I could figure out something like that where the middle line used only 14 letters or spaces, that would be great. I am still not sure if I care if people mistake my DH for that other guy. That's not the reason I kept my maiden name. Maybe I should just do 3 lines in a row, each with one of our names-- no message????
