I must be old. Because when I heard it was Neil Diamond next week, I was happy. He may be old, but he's still talented, charismatic, and I like him. 
Same here! I just got tix to see him in August at MSG. Love this man!
ME TOO!! DH and I were so excited and we love him! Really, his music is classic. I never imagined so many people would go  to Neil Diamond.
As for AI, I don't think Carley deserved to go home, but sadly she wasn't my favorite. Cook is the only one I root & vote for, him blows me away. But Brooke shouldn't have gone home, she was a total wreck on Tuesday night.

No I'm with you.....what people don't get is that she wasn't kicked off because she can't sing....she actually has a good voice and knows how to use it, but she's not an "american idol", there's just something off about her that makes her unlikeable (for me anyway)
I loved her when the show first started, but as it went on, I didn't even want to hear her sing because her presence just annoyed me.

I was beyond shocked at the bottom 2 last night. As far as VOCAL ABILITY, Syesha and Carly are TONS better than Jason and Brooke. I still can't believe it.....

Seriously I dont even want to watch anymore after last night. Kristy Lee Cook was better than Brooke and Jason... I dont get it.

Maybe. Brooke should not be there. Carly was a lot better than her and that guy Jason is only there b/c he apparently has a huge teen girl fan base!

I am a HUGE Jason fan and I even have to admit, that he deserved to go home before Carly.
I think it should have been Brooke this week and Jason next. Carly had one of the best voices there and although I knew she wouldnt win american idol (although at first I thought her and Michael Johns would battle for it) she should have gone further. She will be fine I am sure but it was a wrong call last night.
I still think the top 2 will both Davids..and in my world, with David Cook winning. I cant stand David A!!

No, the night before carly sang the wrong chorus .Instead of Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ, the first time she sang ,Jesus Christ Superstar and her backup singers sang the right chorus!
