how to make sure baby shows the goods
so ladies who have had their level II already - what did you eat/drink beforehand to make sure baby flashed you, and how far in advance did you have it? TIA!!

I drank oj about 30min before my appt.
I also had a mini chocolate bar.

I drank OJ but then she wouldnt stop moving and they almost didnt see her goods lol I did have to go back for measurements since she was off the wall

OJ works, but like the other poster siad, don't overdo it. If they are moving around too much, you may not get a good shot of the goods. Just a small glass should do the trick!

I drank OJ and the kid was passed out at the sono. Thankfully the tech was patient and told me to go pee (even though I didn't need to) and it moved him enough to see the goods.

Yup - but I ate a big candy bar 
This worked like a charm when we went for the growth sono...just wish I had done it for the level II because he didn't cooperate.

for my ultrascreen, the tech wasn't getting the measurements she needed, so she actually pushed on my belly to get the baby to move. any chance she'll do that tomorrow if baby won't cooperate?

Tech tried that. Also tried tilting the bed backwards. Oh, also made me try laying on my side.
As long as you get a semi patient tech you should be able to find out the sex.

the techs at my dr's office are wonderful - thanks, i feel a lot better!!

I had lunch with DH prior to going to see the tech. I drank soda.
Dont know if that helped in seeing his stuff because he slept through out the whole ultrasound but he had no problems laying on his back, legs open and flashing his goods. Very proud to be  and showing us what he has

I drank soda too, not even diet, just plain old Cream Soda by Dr. Brown's.
It was damn freaking good. Baby liked it too. About 30 min prior.

bring a sugary snack with you to the appt in case the baby is stubborn.
My tech told me to bring chocolate, and I brought an entenman's brownie.
