Save me from myself
Hi ladies,
I'm hoping you can help me calm down. I'm 8 weeks today and I just went to the bathroom and found the tiniest speck of red blood when I wiped. It was really, really tiny. I wiped a few more times and again tiny, tiny traces. I'm not having an abnormal cramping. Should I call my doctor? Is this normal?

It is pretty commong to have that in the first trimester. If you aren't having any cramps it is probably fine. You might want to call your doctor just to give you piece of mind though.

Absolutely. have you had sex recently? Did you go to the dr and have a pap? Did you recently have a BM?
My dr told me that because your cervix is so soft during pregnancy, all of these things can cause some spotting. (although BM I guess has nothing to do with the cervix)
If you are nervous call your Dr.

Re: Save me from myself
Haven't done any of those things actually. I'm trying to remind myself that it's 100% normal because I've read about it in every book/web-site-chat room I've been in. But I can't help being scared. I tried my doctor but her office is closed for the night. She has an emergency number but I don't think this is an emergency so I just need to relax and monitor it and call her in the morning if I'm still spotting.
Thanks ladies!
