His is battling (unsuccessfully) brain cancer. The doctors told him he couldn't fly to see David, but they got him a private plane with medics and nurses so he could be there.
WOW!! I have goosebumps. That is so sad, but sop amazing that his brother was able to be there.

OMG the first time this happened to me was like 6 mths ago at work, I sit near a lot of VP's at work, and it was that friggin link that a text box with every line to the song pops up and you have to X off each one before it goes away, I wanted to crawl under my cubicle!!!

I think originality goes to David Cook tonight. Vocally, I have to say that Archuletta was the best tonight.
I think Kristy Lee sucked and she really needs to go home. I don't like her vocally at all.

here is my usual post show recap:
David A - it's a   sandwhich. the same song every week...
Carly - eh, she needs to bring it. I agree that she is too wound and holding back.
Seyesha - out of all the "big songs" she has tried to do the past couple of weeks, this one came the closest to hitting it.
Brooke - I love her, but didn't like her performance tonight.
Kristy Lee -the fact that she is still here is giving her a false sense of confidence.
David C - 
I was in love with Daughtry, but this guy is giving him a run for his money.
He rocks, and is quickly becoming a member of my "laminated top 5" 
Jason - not a fan, but it was a cool version of the song.
Bottom three goes to the ladies tonight. I think the guys are safe.

Ok hmmm..
David A...ugh!! I dont know what people hear?????????? He was bad! And the judges loved him?? So odd.
Carly..she was bad too and she may be in the bottom 3 again.
Syesha..she sang my FAVORITE Mariah song and I think she did well actually.
Brooke...SO SICK OF THIS GIRL! I used to like her..not anymore. She may also be bottom 3 tomorrow.
Kristy..she better be in the bottom 3..I have wanted her to go for weeks and shes still there..so annoying!
David C....I didnt like his rendition at all. But how can you not love him? He is so genuine and so talented. His tears at the end (knowing his brothers story) brought me to tears, hes just so real.
Jason..I thought he was good but he cant do any wrong in my eyes..he is my love and hopefully the next american idol!!
Sidenote...Could Paula get her toungue out of Mariahs butt for 2 seconds tonight???? It was so annoying! And why. does. it. take. her. so. long. to. complete. a. sentence.? Who speaks like that??????????????????????
