Caillou is banned!
Caillou is banned from my home...all he does is whines...whines....whines and my three year old think he is caillou! Monkey see, Monkey do! All of the Caillou shows have now been erased from our DVR recorder....Does anybody else have this problem with the show or any other shows?

OMG, we banned him months ago after I heard my son going "Thats mooooyyynnne" and then I realized that he was imitating Calliou with his whining. I dont know any 4 yr olds who whine like that. After my DH mentioned it to my SIL, she realized my nephew was doing the same thing and banned it there too.
ETA: Plus Calliou has a little sister and so does my son and I didnt wanted him to be griping over sharing with her like Calliou does with his sister.

HMMMM my daughter is 4 and loves caillou!!! As does my 6 year old. I never really noticed that he whines all the time!! I did notice however they always teach him the right and wrong way of dealing with things. THis of course is just my opinion. I guess I'll watch it a little closer and look for what you guys see.

In a stunning development, Congress moved to cut PBS' funding by more than 50 percent, placing the blame squarely on the network's continued airing of the children's animated series, Caillou.
Caillou follows the adventures of an eponymous, immature, complaining little boy, who whines when he is happy and whines when he is sad. He has a strange name and equally strange parents, who seem perpetually cheerful and unfazed by their child's petulant behavior. All episodes of Caillou are accompanied by the grating voice of an elderly female narrator, who is compelled to tell viewers how Caillou is feeling, what Caillou wants, and what pushes Caillou's buttons at every turn.

I definately agree that the parents are way to cheery!!! I am defiantely getting a different feel about it now that you guys have pointed this out!! My kids watch it every morning before school. Maybe we will find somthing else to watch!!

When I first saw it I though it was very very innocent but as time went by like I stated so did the whine and then everything was "too scary"...

We banned him a while ago because I noticed that my son started whinning like him!!!!
