Ultrascreening

Hey girls.. I have some questions about the ultrascreening that is done.

Do they let you bring your DH?

Can you video tape the session?

How long did it take you to get the rusults back from your dr? Did you find out right than and there that things looked pretty good?

Yes DH came into the room with me.
Not sure about video taping it - I guess you can call and ask.

We got the results about 10 days later when I went to my next OB appt.

Good luck!

Re: Ultrascreening

DH can come, they usaully encourage it. I dont think you can video it, each place is different - call ahead and ask. the results usually take 7-10 days. It is so cool though! Enjoy and good luck!Chat Icon

Yes, they certainly let you bring your DH. As for the videotaping, i really don't know.

My office said they usually don't call you with the results unless there is a problem, but that it takes about 10 days.

My tech wasn't the most warm and fuzzy woman, so I had to pretty much asked her at the end if everything looked good and she just said yes and that was it. I had a regular appt with my Dr. the following week and she told me that the neck measurements looked fine and they were just waiting for the bloodwork part.

Re: Ultrascreening

We kinda wanted to wait to tell everyone until after the results but to wait another 10 days after getting it done seems like an eternity.

Re: Ultrascreening

DH was with me.

I have no idea about videotaping, never asked.

I got my results in about a week.

Good Luck!

Re: Ultrascreening

DH can come ith you.

My very first ultrascreen was done when I was 6 weeks (or 7 - they goofed that up) and the tech told me nothing.

I had a Level I yesterday and it was done by a doctor who told me everything looked great, great profile, chubby baby, went over the measurements with me and the baby's weight. Confirmed my official due date is actually Sept 5 not the 14th the original u/s had shown.

So I guess each place is different but I was able to find out all was well
