What determines if you have a growth sono?
Is it a matter of procedure or only if needed. When would you get one? What a bummer if there are no more sonos to look forward to.

I always remember having one. It's the only sono you get after your Level II.
(that is unless something is wrong or the doctor needs to see something.)

my doctor only does one if they think you are measuring ahead or behind
I had one at 37 weeks, 2 days because I was measuring at 39 weeks at my 36 week appointment  
My dd was 9lb, 8oz

I think it depends on your doctor. I didn't have a growth sono for either pregnancy (and I even asked since I was considering VBAC for #2, but no). I think they're typically scheduled around 32 weeks if you're doctor recommends one.

Mine was scheduled for 38 weeks. I never made it because I went into labor the day before!!

It really depends on what your insurance covers. Mine only covered it he was measuring small or big. Well, DS was measuring WAY small, so I had to have one. I would have WAY prefered NOT to have one

I thought I only got one if there was some concern. I found out though, that I get a routine growth sono at 36 weeks.

I asked at my level II the other day if this was the last sonogram and she said no, another one at about 30 weeks to check the growth. I love my Drs office
