Sciatic Pain
I'm only 7 weeks but already experiencing some severe sciatic pain. If I hear "already" one more time from my DH and MIL I'm going to scream. I'm not doing anything different and haven't gained any weight yet so I don't know what else could be causing this. I have an OB appointment on Friday but you gals are always so great about making me feel better. Is this normal? Did anyone else get pain this early?
TIA!

Re: Sciatic Pain
I have back pain since week nine. Your body starts releasing a chemical to being losening all of your muscles in your body to prepare for labor. therfore normal things you would do in the past may now cause muscle tightness and pain. (this is how my doc explained it) Take it easy and be careful

Re: Sciatic Pain
Yes, it can be normal. I had it start around 7/8 weeks originally as well. Mine was caused by a herniated disk in my back (which I believe was caused by pregnancy).
I still have it now throughout this pregnancy. There is really nothing you can do for it other than stretch out your legs and your side.
If you have any questions, feel free to FM.
