Re: So I'm off today
I hate getting the car fixed. The prices are always so astronomical!
It's not even the parts so much that is it's the friggin labor rate!

It is not under warranty anymore? Everything in my truck broke 5 miles after warranty...so I cried a river and threatened to call corporate. Suddenly they found a way to fix it for free.

Re: So I'm off today
oh I know the feeling. I had to bring my car in today to get the front headlight replaced. My DH couldnt do it because of the way it's in there.
Well we get a phone call that something is cracked and it's now going to cost us $400

Timing belt and water pump are usually considered routine maintainance that's why...
It stinks I know...
Cars are money pits!

I did not know that, tyvm. I usually impersonate the noise of the issue and the dealership miraculously fixes it.

And they both should not need replacing until about 100,000 miles, I thought, so after most warranties are long over. I had it done in my Civic, but I don't remember it costing $1200 -- and I had the dealer do it.
I'm sorry. Car repairs are no fun!
