Re: Wow. Just wow.
If you have a c-section you will love them. You hardly feel them on you. I wore them for a couple days post-partum. Plus you bleed a lot and you get messy and you can just throw these suckers away.
Wait to you see the pads you have to wear....that feels like a diaper on you.
My hospital provided them to me.

Re: Wow. Just wow.
The ones that Winthrop provided were like boy shorts and a lot "nicer" than that. They were actually very comfy!

seriously, I'm starting to realize that pregnancy is one major indignity after another.... these undies are just the cherry on top
Just wait until you are in L&D..I had one father (whose wife had just given birth) poking his head into MY room while I was pushing. Talk about indignity

do we all have to use that at some point?
It's easier to use those than your own underwear because these mesh ones are not tight at all but they stay up. I had a C/S and it was wonderful because the regular underwear that I brought with me felt too tight around my incision. I took some extra mesh ones and wore it for 2-3 more days after I got home.
ETA: I highly recommend that you bring your own maxi pads - the big overnight ones are great. I brought 4-5 of them and then asked my sister to bring more to the hospital after the birth. The pads that the hospital gave seemed to be from ancient times - they didn't stay put esp on the mesh underwear and i felt a lot more secure doubling up with the Overnight with Wings pads. Sorry if it's TMI - just wanted to mention it if you are packing your suitcase for the hospital - I am glad I brought those pads with me, thanks to the tips from other ladies on these boards.

Re: Wow. Just wow.
The mesh panties rock. No joke they were a godsend in the hospital.
Funny looking bloomers though.

Re: Wow. Just wow.
I had to wear mesh panties after my D&C but they weren't as big as those! They were more like a granny panty size.

Re: Wow. Just wow.
I delivered at Winthrop and were not offered them! I wish they did..... All I got was two packs on pads that were way too long and not wide enough!
