Guitar Hero 3....
is kicking my arse, it is so much harder then it looks.
The man, on the otherhand is Rocking the House.  I told him it's not fair...He is musically inclined. I am not. Easy is not so easy, and the practice...yeah I suck at that too. 
But oh the fun.

I'm pretty big into GH, but the third one is particularly unforgiving. I'm stuck on Through the Fire and Flames, and it's tiring to get through that intro, so I've focused on Rock Band.
IMO, Rock Band is more fun as the song choices are better (plus new songs every week), and it's more accessible for those who enjoy these games but aren't necessarily great with that guitar controller. Of course I can't drum or sing my way out of a paper bag, so I let my GF and her brother do the singing/drumming respectively.

If you have an XBox 360 or a Playstation 3, and a means to connect them to the Internet (dial-up wont work), there are stores where you can buy new songs every Tuesday. Last week they released 6 Boston songs, and they're a lot of fun to play.

If you have a router in your home, you can run a router to the txbox..you need to create an Xbox Live account...i would go to xbox.com to learn more about that.
You can buy a wiressless card that connects to the Xbox and again, sign up for free service...if you pay for xbox live, it allows you more access to downloadable stuff and play online with friends or random people...
Xbox lives also offers movie downloads, demo download, arcade games like pacman and others...of course, these things are at a fee..

Yes, after playing Rock Band for awhile going back to Guitar Hero 3 is a whole different experience. It's way harder.
I'm so sad cuz we have PS2...we can't download songs on Rock Band.
I love playing the drums on Rock Band! But man, using the pedal is exhausting!!!
