For racheee and anyone that loves music
I was listening to Radio 1 this morning and heard this old school Beastie Boys song. I call up DH and tell him I think it is called Rob da Bank. Two minutes later, while I am ordering at Starbucks, he calls me back and informs me that Rob da Bank is actually the name of a famous British DJ. Oops . The Starbucks barista butts in and says, "I love the Beastie Boys, they are from England right?"
I looked at her like she had two heads and accidentally mumbled, "Say whaaaa?" I started to laugh so hard, she got offended. I finally got a grip and said, "Last I checked they were from Brooklyn."
"That's in England, right?"
"Nope, it is in New York. Once upon a time it was New Amsterdam but I think they won their independence from Britain a few years ago."
"Oh, okay."
W T F This is why eavesdropping on a convo is always bad news.

Emily - not the same but yesterday I went to Baci to get a GC. The paper was on the bar and I made some comment about Spitzer. The bartend goes into this whole theory of how Spitzer got caught because he doesn't want to be Govenor or President for that matter, it's his father's ambiotion that is pushing him, bla bla bla...I was like um, yeah well if that's the case, get caught in tax evasion, he wouldn't destroy his whole family and esp. his children!!
Next time I'll just ask him how to make a good martini...this is why we all have jobs that we are good at and others...not so much...
