Back from the dr...
I met w/ MY dr today- I was so happy to see him back! I told him how I was feeling and how totally confused I am- and we went thru my protocol- step by step.
He said after my OHSS last cycle (last ACTIVE cycle) that it was best for me to take the full 3 weeks of BCPs... The first 2 weeks would be JUST BCPs and the 3rd week I would introduce lupron along w/ the BCPs. Then I would continue the lupron after I was finished w/ the BCPs until AF arrived. (again -yuck  ) Once AF shows up I'll call him and I'll go in for monitoring via bloodwork and sono. Then we'll start on the Gonal-f. From that point it will be just like my cycle back in Dec.
I asked him a bunch of questions- he showed me what the lupron is going to look like and how to measure it, prep the syringe, etc... and gave me all the prescriptions that I need for mail order. Plus he said he's going to call in all my injectibles prescriptions and I already have my BCPs which I'm starting after I see him on Monday, b/c AF just started making her appearance this afternoon.
Sorry so long- I'm just feeling a lot better and am so relieved.  Not thrilled about wasting 3 weeks but at least I understand it better now.
Plus someone I met on a different PCOS board is doing the same cylce as me (but less BCPs) and her dr. told her this has a much higher success rate for PCOS patients and less of a chance of OHSS, though it still could happen.

Good, now you have a plan of action. That always makes me feel better. Try not to look at the 3 weeks as waisted. You are on your journey (wow, that sounds really corny...sorry). It will take what it will, right? That is what I learned the past two years. You can't rush any of this. G/L!
