No I don't think they should be legalized.
I am shocked people think it's OK to legalize Marijuana. While it is a "cool" drug, this is an impairing drug.
I don't want a bunch of people "high" while driving.
So make it like alcohol,make it illegal to drive while under the influence but not illegal to use.
No one is NOT smoking marijuana because its illegal.

Booze does the same thing yet it's legal.
I wouldn't want anyone driving high or drunk... to me it's one in the same.

Whether its legal or not I beleive for kids it will stay the same either way. Many kids go to school high and or drunk - neither are legal for teens. I dont see how it would differ if marijuana was legalized. Kids can get their hands on pot just as easy as liquor and if pot was legal it might not be as potent which is better than what is out there now.

the difference bet. alcohol and other mood alterring substances is the addiction level.
far fewer people become addicted to it than the total of people that imbibe.
sure, there are alcoholics, but that has as much to do with addictive personality disorder as it does to the actual addictive properties of alcohol itself.
the same cannot be said for illicit drugs. their addictive properties, and the prevelence of addiction in those that have tried (and the swiftness in which the addiction occurs) is FAR greater than that of alcohol.
give a kid a few drinks. he may or may not become an alchy. give a kid a few hits of heroine or cocaine...and he could be battling it for life.

I don't disagree with your POV when it comes to coke or herorin, but pot? I just don't see it.
