My 37 week appt......
Okay so he flipped...he was head down at 36 now my baby is breech....Dr. said I can go to the hospital (next week) and they can try to turn him .....(yea right that must feel really good!) or if he does not flip..yes your right a c section! he turns!!!
The crazy thing is I could have sworn I felt that big flip when he went head down....but this one I did not feel at least i dont think I did!

Re: My 37 week appt......
I hope he turns. If not I would try to have them flip him before you opt for the C-sec!
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: My 37 week appt......
Yeah I heard it's not the most comfortable of proceedures, from my understanding there are usually 2 dr and they use a sonogram, to try and coax the baby to move down.
To me, it's better than a C-sec though, so I would try it.
My baby was breeched, but turned, and I am hoping she has stayed turned!

Re: My 37 week appt......
Hopefully baby will flip back
My Sil's baby was breech, her midwife told her to place some frozen peas up by baby's head and have her DH talk to her belly down below, near her groin area. Worth a try maybe (didn't work for my SIL cause there was other issues besides breech)

Re: My 37 week appt......
i just had this happen to me. It flipped at my 37 week appt and I went in yesterday morning to have them try and flip it but it turned on its own!! So hopefully that will happen with you too. I am it will stay in this position this way they wont have to try and turn again later or schedule the C-Section.

Re: My 37 week appt......
for you that baby turns!!!
is breech also.
My dr. told us about the option of the external cephalic version as well but I'm opting not to do it.
She said that there is only a 50/50 chance of it being successful and you risk putting the baby under stress, which may lead to an emergency c-section at the time of the procedure.
It also sounds extremely uncomfortable!
There are a bunch of exercises you can try, mainly pelvic tilts with your head down, and your legs up on a chair!

I'm sorry, but the thought of this just makes me laugh!
Hope the baby turns for you!!!

I'm with you on that one. I've seen a few versions and it looks extremely painful not to mention barbaric. I've seen the Drs arms start to tremble from the amount of force they have to use. And in that case the baby was succesfully turned only to flip sideways an hour later.
ETA: You can try getting into the knee chest position when baby is active. You just get on your hands and knees then fold your arms down so your head is resting on the ground and your tush is up in the air.

Re: My 37 week appt......
My has been breech the whole time. We opted against the version because it's not a guarantee it will work or that the baby wouldn't flip back to breech again.
We are just waiting to here when our c-section will be. It should be the week of the 17th.

Yes that just seems very painful to do that...I would go straight for the c section!
