TKTS Line in Times Sq.

I have never purchased tickets here- and was thinking of taking in a show next Wed. Are the tickets cheaper because they are for same day? How does it work?

Yup, you get basically 30-50% off depending. Mostly 50% off. They are same day tickets so you'd want to get there when it opens for the best seats.

Thing is, if you have a show in mind, it's a crap shoot- it might not be available at the discounted price and won't be up on the boards at all. Almost never are the big hits - like Jersey Boys, Little Mermaid, etc - on the boards. It's usually the longer running shows. My mom, sister and I go here all the time...it's pretty much the only way we see shows. It's fun, and we have always seen popular shows and have gotten good seats!
