Guinness Petitions Congress to Make St. Patrick's Day an Official Holiday in America
St. Patrick's Day, a day when everyone is a little Irish, not only celebrates Irish culture and heritage, but also the concept of coming together for the sake of good times -- great times. Guinness, the most famous Irish stout, is synonymous with bringing people together and the camaraderie we all feel on March 17th. Guinness is leading a movement to get the official recognition St. Patrick's Day deserves by launching a campaign to make this day a national holiday.

Even an Irish girl like me cant say I support this. If St. Patrick's day was to be made a national holiday, then we'd have petitions for ALL kinds of holidays.
Besides, going to the parade is more fun when you are playing hooky for the day!

There are petitions for lots of other holidays, but this is the one I like the best.
Its all in good fun Even if Guiness gets the signatures I highly doubt it will ever get officially approved.
