Flip flops & shorts in the winter...WHY?
The past few months I have seen several people wearing flip flops & shorts here in NJ and it's 20 - 30 degrees out. WHY??!!! What's the point? One time we were going to best buy and I saw this kid (teenager) wearing flip flops, shorts and a t-shirt...it was 30 degrees and sleeting...come on!!

I admit to wearing sandals if I am just hopping in & out of the car and flip flops to the nail place next door to my building. (ETA) I wear pants though!
But today I saw some girls wearing shorts with tights & ballet slippers. Not longer knee length shorts - mid thigh ones.

It's ridiculous. I get so angry that the kids in my class come in without a jacket when it's 20 degrees outside.

I'm convinces teenagers don't feel the cold 
My students, mostly the boys, wear shorts pretty much all year! Those puffy jackets of the 90s are no longer "cool" so they wear just a hoodie at most! brrrr (wish we had a shivering icon!)
