Spinoff to the Thursday Poll
I'm not trying to cause any drama either, but I heard something on the radio awhile back saying that Moby hopes that his soon to be born child is gay.
I would accept and love my child if they were gay, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I hope they were. Life is difficult enough at times without having a stigmatism that can cause further problems. Soceity is not always accepting of homosexuals and i just wouldn't want to wish that my child would have further difficulties.
I'm interested in what other people have to say. Would you wish for your child to be gay?

I'd accept and love my child either way but I wouldn't wish anything that might make their life more difficult.
Is Moby gay?

Re: Spinoff to the Thursday Poll
My only wish is for my sons to be happy, and healthy. Sexual orientation doesn't concern me.

I really don't know, I thought the same thing when I heard the comment. I was surprised he was having a kid...not sure who the woman is.

I wouldn't wish gay/straight/anything on my child - whatever he or she is is totally fine with me and I will be supportive regardless.
This actually reminds me of the dinner conversation in The Family Stone.

Ditto this.
I had a friend who is an OT that used to say she hopes she has a baby born with Downs because if it were to happen she would be the type of person that would be able to handle it. I don't know how anyone could wish any type of hardships on their children.
That being said sexual orientation would not bother me. I feel like we live in a society now where it is more accepted and there are less hardships, though I don't think it's ever easy.

That is my feeling. I also have a friend who wishes she would have a Downs baby. I love my child no matter what, but I just wouldn't wish him/her any additional hardships.
