Re: Ultrascreen??
I had it done. It was a combination of a sono and bloodwork.

Re: Ultrascreen??
You will totally enjoy this testing because the tech will keep the baby on the screen for a while until he/she gets all the measurements that they need. For me, the procedure consisted of both an internal and external ultrasound as well as a finger prick blood test. ENJOY IT!!!

Re: Ultrascreen??
Yes, it's a bit nerve racking.. but I guess I kind of blocked it out after seeing the baby and getting a picture of it.. I think I focused on that.... and my Doctor does it right in the office so they looked at the baby's neck and said it looked great... My friend on the other hand went some place and had to wait for 2 weeks before she got the results she was a basket case... Gotta think positive! :)

Re: Ultrascreen??
I had it and its a very easy test consisting of a sonogram and a blood test (a prick on your finger).
You get really good sonogram pictures and it was amazing to see such a change from our 8 week sonogram pics to 12 weeks!

Re: Ultrascreen??
It is a standard test....and if they offer the AFP test at 16 weeks, I would suggest all girls get it done.
I was originally told it tests for the same thing...well, it tests for other things as well...I would have known about my son sooner if I had taken the 16 week test.
