Sick from the dog park?
DH took our girl to a dog run for the first time this weekend. She ran around with a bunch of dogs and had a great time. Today I noticed that she had a lot of (for lack of a better term LOL) eye snot. I had to clean it several times and now it looks very red. I will call the vet tomorrow but just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if you think she could have gotten something from one of the dogs at the run. TIA!

No, it's not from another dog. Misty has the same problem occasionally.
It's from the cold dry air....our vet recommended a humidifier and it has worked wonders.
Apparently, some dogs just react this way to the dry air - Misty is three and this year is the first time it happened - the vet said the warm moist air would clear it up and it really has.

It is actually looking better today. Glad it doesn't seem like anything major! She slept in our room which does have a humidifier. Thanks so much for the response.
