Listen to this...
This lady I started working with is so FREAKIN stupid...I showed her a picture of my Sammy, my puggle. And she was like, Oh no no he's ugly. I was like WT heck??? is your problem? oh also she was NOT JOKING! that's the scary thing
why are people so stupid and dumb?
how can someone say something like that?
how would you handle this?

I hate this. Jesaroo and I had a thread about it at one time, since we unfortunately hear that a lot with our nekkid dogs. I think people are stupid and rude. You would never tell someone their SO is ugly, or their DC, so why their pet?

It's upsetting, but don't pay them any attention.
Some people don't see pets as part of the family. They just see them as "animals" , so they don't understand.

We get that with Charlie sometimes. Someone once said to us "That dog has a face only a mother could love" 
DH got so mad and said "He just told me the same thing about you."

I get this alllll the time. I have a Boston Terrier and people are constantly telling me he's ugly.
I usually respond with "Well, once you see him in person, you'll fall in love.." Or, "Well, let's see a picture of your kid so I can tell you how ugly they are"... I usually get laughed off, but it's really annoying and it really hurts my feellings.

I was just going to post this! When we got Brutus, also a BT, my mom actually said "why didnt you get a cute dog like your brother" I think he is so cute, i just don't see where they get it from!!

He is really cute, that person is an azz. Just ignore her rude comments and if you can't I would remind her that if she has nothing nice to say, she shouldn't say anything at all.

Along the same lines is when people say "get a real dog" to someone who has a small dog. In my case, I have to just laugh because my dog can sure hold his own with the big guys and has even intimidated big dogs!

that is awful.
ALL animals are beautiful.
we had this happen a lot with our snakes - we used to have two of them and they were wonderful pets - and, b/c they are snakes, people would go "ewww" and say how "ugly" they were and i thought that was disgusting and so mean.
