when purchasing a tv
or any type of entertainment item how long do you hold onto the box it came in for?

i usually hold on to it until i know for sure that everything is workng!! test everything out until im certain... then the box goes bye bye!

we bought our TV in August and still have the box in a storage closet. I think DH forgot it's in there.
normally I wouldn't keep a box more than a month or so.

If you bought the store extended warranty like "Best Buy or Circuit City" then you don't have to keep the box.. If you didn't buy the extended warranty you should keep the box until your TV manufacture warranty has expired.

Usually 30 days in case anything goes wrong. Or w-e the return limit is from the store we bought it from.
